Tom Mullins. Tom is the
Touchdown Lounge’s Chief Engineer. Without Tom there would be no
TD Lounge. An electrician by trade, Tom is an outstanding craftsman,
who has yet to tell John that a particular idea cannot be done.
Tom’s perfectionist ways has resulted in an expertly crafted and
engineered tailgating vehicle. Much to his wife’s chagrin, Tom has
spent hundreds of hours installing paneling, cabinetry, custom built
oak benches, making necessary mechanical repairs, fabricating goal
post and flag poles and wiring special lights, batteries and all
things electronic. Tom also designed, fabricated and mounted the
telescoping flagpole as well as the fully retractable goal post
mounted to the roof. Tom also built the replica Lombardi trophy
proudly displayed in many of the pictures.
Tom is actually a late comer to Patriots Nation. He did not grow
up a football fan, but once he started hanging around with the Squire
and watching the Patriots, he was hooked. While he is more comfortable
explaining the inner workings of the battery powered actuator which
raises and lowers the goal post, he is not afraid to chime in on
Charlie Weis’ love of the WR screen (suffice it to say that the
WR screen is not Tom’s favorite play) or the lack of big play production
from the Patriots’ running game before Corey Dillon.
